To save Rewind in a specific folder so that you or IT don't need to approve software updates, follow the instructions outlined below.
Download Rewind.
Double click the .dmg file but do not drag it to your system Applications folder (/Applications).
Instead, choose to install the location anywhere on your computer.
We recommend adding a folder called Applications (~/Applications) to your home directory and putting Rewind there. This folder may already exist and is the supported mechanism for user specific Applications on macOS.
Note: If you previously installed via Rewind.pkg, you can simply delete Rewind.app from your /Applications folder by dragging it to the Trash. Don’t worry, this will not delete all of your existing recordings.
